Phage display scientist post at Switzerland

Agroscope is the driving force in agricultural research for sustained economic activity in the agricultural, nutritional and environmental sectors. Agroscope develops scientific knowledge and basic technical principles for agricultural and environmental policy decisions and their legal implementation. Agroscope belongs to the Federal Office for Agriculture and comprises the three research stations: Agroscope Changins-Wädenswil ACW, Agroscope Liebefeld-Posieux ALP and Agroscope Reckenholz-Tänikon ART.

For the 1rst of April we are seeking a

Phage display scientist (post-doc) 18 months
self-motivated and detail orientated to join the group of virology/bacteriology at ACW. The candidate will be responsible for one or more of the following tasks: engineering of antibody-like proteins, screening display libraries, developing and performing primary screening assays, and recombinant expression and purification of candidate molecules. Only applicants with considerable experience in protein expression and purification and display technologies (phage display) will be considered.
The position requires a Ph.D with at least 2+ years experiences in laboratory research; Extensive experience in DNA cloning, antibody library construction as well as hands on in antibody selection and characterization; Significant working experience in phage antibody display is required; Highly motivated and productive; Effective communication skills and a good team worker in addition to flexibility in learning new skills.
