A Postdoctoral Fellow position is available in the laboratory of Dr.
Ross Summer at the Thomas Jefferson University in the section of
Pulmonary and Critical Care medicine. The current project studies the
impact of obesity on the development of acute lung injury. Ongoing
studies are focusing on the adipokine adiponectin and investigating the
downstream signaling pathways contributing to its immune suppressive
action in lung.
Interested candidates must possess a Ph.D. and/or M.D. Priority will be given to applicants with strong backgrounds in immunology, vascular biology or lung biology. Candidates should be proficient in written and spoken English, possess strong interpersonal and have the ability to build collaborations. This position will start July 1st 2012. Dr Summer is currently transferring his laboratory from Boston to Philadelphia.
