Top 10 Rules of Style

'Minimalist’…is the key word. The style genius. Style must be a very personal matter and therefore should reflect your lifestyle and values. Some are vibrant with their taste and some might simply show what they believe is appropriate for the occasion.
When you switch looks, aesthetically, there’s a thin line. Below given rules will help you define right and wrong – pay attention to your instincts.
1. Don’t try too hard. The look should not be forced but relaxed.
Place comfort before fashion, instead of the other way around. Comfort is important both at the physical and emotional level. Something might be good looking but if it is not comfortable, what’s the point?

2. The adventurous un-matching look of putting accessories that do not necessarily match, but look great together, does not require mastery. Do not go for it, unless you are very sure of the look.
3. Don’t sacrifice quality in developing your personal style. There are certain pieces in a man’s wardrobe, that are worth investing in. A well tailored suit or a jacket, will ‘shape’ itself to your body.
4. Always remember there’s a time and place for everything. Dress as per the occasion and required code.
5. Accessories are the barometer of taste. Your shoes, scarves, cufflinks, belts…they highlight your attire, so they have to be perfect. Having said that, how can we forget the tie knot. If it’s stiff and big, it’s sad!!
6. Twist ….. a classic piece, looks real stylish. A whole ensemble can be made interesting with the play of color, proportion and styling.
7. Wow people with your taste and individuality , not your spending power. Designer clothes are great; they keep you in style and up on the current trends, but choose your pieces based on how they look on you, not just for the label.
8. The basic thumb rule is to match your leathers with your leathers and your fabrics with your fabrics. Follow this simple formula before venturing out into the mad, mad world of mismatched attire!
9. Color and jewellery are good, looking like a Christmas tree is not. This is especially true for a menswear look. Men can carry off color and one should experiment. Jewellery can be great. But going over the top is not advisable.
10. Mens’ clothing should be a blend of technology and tradition.
