Junior Fellow Position – Biochem /Microbio/ Molecular Bio at Koltaka

An walk-in-interview will be conducted on 07 February 2012 at 11.30 A.M. at the Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata for recruitment of one (1) on purely temporary basis Project-linked Junior Research Fellow to world in the project titled “An investigation on antimicrobial potential of Chebulic myrobalan (fruit of Terminalla chebula Retz.) against methicillin-resistant Staphylococcu5 aureuf in the Agricultural & Ecological Research Unit of the Institute. Post : Project linked Junior Fellow Essential Qualifications : Post-graduate degree in Biochemistry /Chemistry /Microbiology /Molecular Biology from a recognized university/institute with consistently good academic record. Pay : Rs.12,000/- per month plus HRA 8c MA as per rules (for first two years). Rs.14,000/- per month plus HRA Gc MA as per rules (for 3rd year). Duration : Initially for a period of one year from the date of joining which may be extended later/terminated earlier, depending on availability of funds 8c performance of the candidate. Age : Should not exceed 35 years as on 01 January 2012 with usual relaxation for SC/ST/OBC candidates. Candidates appearing for the interview are required to bring with them the application addressed to the Professor-in-Charge, Biological Sciences Division, 151, Kolhata along with bio-data stating (a) Name; (b) Address and Telephone number; (c) E-mail address; (d) Father’s/Husbands Name; (e) Date of Birth; (f) Educational Qualifications (with percentage of marks obtained in each examination); (g) Work experiences, and (h) SC/ST/OBC status along with attested copies of all certificates. They should also bring the original copies of the certificates for verification. Candidates will have to report at the Office of the Agricultural & Ecological Research Unit, Indian Statistical Institute, 203 B.T.
